ABOUT CUSTOM ORDERING

The pictures in this listing are samples of the “style” you will receive. Customizations include hair/fur, charm, and small additional memory items.

Once your order is placed, you will need to mail me the hair/item.

Due to issues with the USPS, I suggest you use Priority Mail with tracking and insurance. I will return the unused portion of the hair/fur along with your finished order.

You only need to send a small amount of hair or fur – less than the diameter of a dime at the cut end. If you wish to send ashes, please send about 2 teaspoon fulls.

Please ensure that the fur/hair are either in a baggie or that somehow the cut end is contained, preferably with a twist tie instead of a rubber band which could damage the hair when removed. If you use a baggie, you can simply slip that inside a bubble mailer for mailing.

You do not need to wash the hair/fur– I will do that when it is received.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU LABEL THE FUR/HAIR/ASHES WITH YOUR NAME AS IT APPEARS ON THE ORDER. Some days I’m so busy that I don’t know if I’ve found a rope or lost my horse so help me out by clearly labeling your hair with the name you use on your order.

PRODCTION TIME

Production time is now running 2-3 weeks once I receive your fur/ashes/hair. Most of the time orders are completed and mailed out before that time. Please rest assured that I will process your order as quickly as I can. It is always my goal to beat that production time if I can. But also please understand that this is a custom, handmade process that will fail if rushed.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Metal may tarnish. This is a natural occurrence due to exposure to sulfur or hydrogen sulfide in the air.

It is not recommended to regularly soak your piece as this can weaken the sealant, mildew the hair or even tarnish the hardware.

If it is necessary to clean the piece, please use a soft cloth and plain water - do not immerse the piece in water. Simply rub it clean then dry it completely.

All of our products are made to order. This means unfortunately we cannot accept returns, refunds or exchanges.

We want you to be 100% happy with our items though, so if there is an error on our side, please send us a proof of the error or damage - a photo will work – WITHIN 5 DAYS OF RECEIPT so we can make it right. You will be eligible for a refund or replacement of our choice.
